For all you SEO lovers out there and also those of you who have no idea how to do it and do it really well, we have here, a list of quick and easy SEO cheats.

Ladies and Gentlemen, here’s how uncle Google finds your tiny needle in the web’s giant haystack:

1. Keyword/Phrase

The first and foremost step into the list is deciding upon a relevant keyword/phrase for your blog or article. It is essential for your keyword to go hand – in -hand with the basic idea of the rest of the content or Google will be like, “NO”. Once that is done, refine your keyword/phrase with the help of Google’s Keyword Planner and that is that.

2. Keyword Placement

Once you pick your keyword/phrase, you need to literally spam it everywhere. Put it in your URL link, page title, Meta description and most importantly, the main content. When placing it in the content, ensure that it is mentioned earlier in the post and should appear frequently.

3. Meta Description

For starters, Meta descriptions DO NOT influence your page rankings, so you need to get that in your head straight and they’re just a snippet of whatever your blog/article is all about. Since it lets your readers to get an insight about the blog, you should keep it short and informative including your keyword/phrase of preference.

4. Stop Words

Stop words include, “and, or, the” and this may come off as a surprise but these words end up hindering your SEO efforts. Therefore, your life will be much better if you simply avoid including these stop words in your content. Since it isn’t possible to completely get rid of these words, we would suggest you to minimize their use as much as you can.

5. Image SEO

Images should generally be a part of every post that you do because it pleases the reader and saves them from boredom. Images are pretty helpful with SEO as well, since Images include a title, a caption and an alt – tag. Uncle Google recognizes that alt -tag and acts accordingly so yes, images are important.

6. H1 and H2 Tags

These tags, as some of you may not know, tell Google what your page is actually about. The overall theme or topic of your post and your keyword/phrase is caught by Heading 1 while Heading 2 highlights the subheadings.

7. Ease of Reading

Don’t be too selfish and think about your readers once in a while. Provide them with a post which can be read and understood easily or they won’t think twice before bouncing off. Keep your sentences short and simple and don’t try to squeeze in too many words in just a single sentence.

8. External Links

This, as the subheading suggests, is nothing but either linking internal articles to the external ones or vice – versa. Studies show that linking of posts actually increases visitors and turns out to be an important factor in getting high rankings. While it’s obvious in facing difficulty in linking external ones to internal ones, doing it the other way around is as easy as it gets.

9. Word Count

While we suggest to not to make your article or post unnecessarily long, writing 300 words or less isn’t a good idea either. Writing such a short article will hinder Google from recognizing it as valuable content. Advisable word count for a blog should should be between 450 -650 words.

10. Tools

And here’s the last but not the least point which includes the most obvious thing which can help you with your SEO efforts. When you’re done with reaching out to all those nooks and corners suggested earlier in this post, it’s time to reach out to appropriate tools which will further help you.

So yes, these little but important SEO tricks and trips will hopefully help you out a bit and give you that much-needed boost.

How the social scene is bound to change in the upcoming New Year

If ever in your life, you have come across emails selling Viagra, a hundred organic Facebook likes, or the LIC agent acting over friendly online, you’ve certainly glimpsed the underbelly of what is commonly known as Digital Marketing.

Social Media Marketing has always been a peculiar thing. In the early days, social media marketing saw quite a bit of criticism where critics actually insisted that it was not a viable marketing strategy, whereas now we are all witnesses to the uber-success of the digital world and how much of an impact it makes on our marketing strategies. Nonetheless, the world of social media is ever changing with a number of brand new platforms coming up every year. The fight is hard to stay on top and continue to do so, hence we are introduced to new and amazing features every now and then.

Predictions have been made about the variety of new trends and changes in the social scene that will take place in 2016. Don’t skip out:

1. In – the – moment updates will be the top of your concern

We already know that Social Media, in itself, solely runs on “in – the – moment” updates, but then there are always some posts that are more “in – the – moment” and latest than the others. Instagram and Snapchat are the two biggest supporters of on – the – go moment updates. This will obviously lead to a new era of social media where immediacy will be the sole concern. If it actually does, you can forget about scheduling all your client’s social media posts in advance.

2. In-app functionality will attract attention

Facebook, according to us and most of the world, will always remain on top when we talk about in-app functionality. Other than the option to post GIFs(which we are totally crazy about), they’ve introduced Instant articles (a different form of publishing), and in – post search engine (to find articles you’re looking for) and videos that play automatically when scrolling, are our favorites. We’re expecting this trend to continue blissfully throughout 2016 because the social media giants are trying their best to prevent their users from ever leaving their app and going to an external website.

3. “Buy” button will be the new shizz

If you haven’t noticed it already, Facebook and Pinterest are the two platforms that gained popularity by introducing the “buy” buttons to their users. Mobile users of these two social media handles can make use of this button to buy a product that they come across in a sponsored advertisement, without ever leaving the main app. Well, like we earlier said, in-app functionality is on the rise and so Instagram, too, has come up with a similar feature to endorse their advertising campaigns.

4. The popularity of organic visibility will rise

As social media marketing has already proved its worth to a range of businesses, more and more are getting a hold of it by the minute. With the increase in the number of businesses engaging in social media marketing, we know how much the competition for organic visibility rises too. Facebook, as always, is already on its way to literally force people to buy their advertisements for a guaranteed organic reach and we, from the last few days have already been witnessing how much “sponsored ads” on Instagram have increased. As more and more businesses emerge in the markets, not only the demand but the cost of such advertisements will see an increase too.

These changes are highly anticipated when considering the social scene. As the new year approaches, we will witness a much bigger change than what is expected. The new age will bring with itself, a bundle of brand new features that we will be able to access to expand. It’s time to start preparing.
